On this site, you will find the programs that the NNMGs deliver to help educate the community. You will find links to resources that provide information to help you, the community, to easily perform the tasks to do the same. As part of a world community, it is our duty to help preserve and beautify our environment for future generations. One of the most important pages on this site is the Community Events page. Here one can see upcoming gardening events that include workshops and gardening shows that you might be interested in attending. There is also a link to print the page. A feature has been added called "Can You Dig It?". This page will contain organic gardening articles submitted by Bill Garlette...a Newport News master gardener. Also, we have added a new feature that includes useful presentations that can be download by the gardener. This feature is on the "Files for Gardeners" page and will be updated as needed. Visit the page About Newport News Master Gardeners for information about our program. If you would like to become a Newport News Master Gardener, click here to download and print an application. You will need Adobe Reader to view and print the application. A "Search" function has also been added to each page. It works, but improvements will be made. Welcome
to the Newport News Master Gardeners (NNMG) website! We are an
educational, non profit service organization which renders non-biased, sound
horticultural information to the community. Working with the Virginia
Cooperative Extension (VCE), our objectives are accomplished through the
volunteer efforts of our members. We are a
service organization of trained volunteers. This website is one of those
efforts.
