Attend Rain Barrel Workshops sponsored by NNMGAs, the Newport News Waterworks and the Newport News Recycling Office. For $40 you can assemble a 55-gal. rain barrel you can carry home. Pre-registration is required.

The "Grin and Grow Garden" programs are educational programs sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension for children aged 5 to 8 accompanied by a parent. The events are on the third Sunday of the month at two o’clock at the picnic tables in front of the Grin and Grow garden, in Riverview Farm Park, at the intersection of Menchville Road and Youngs Road. The schedule for 2012 is presently being updated.

February 25th: The 2012 Spring Conference sponsored by Four County Master Gardeners and Virginia Cooperative Extension are putting on in Culpeper at the Daniel Technology Center on Germana Community College Campus. The brochure is here.
